The Hudson River flows in two directions depending on the ocean tides. A high tide causes the river to flow north towards troy and a low tide causes the river to flow south towards the Atlantic Ocean.
If you visit the Empire State Building, you can see New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, and Massachusetts all at once from the 86th and 102nd floor!
