Welcome to Vermont - known for their maple syrup, picturesque rolling mountains and artsy communities.
Vermont is one of my favorite states. Every road pull off looks like a postcard no matter the season. There is a strong community presence and a numerous amount of fun markets specializing in breads, cheese, milk, and ice creams. It's always a joy to visit Vermont.
Fun facts:
Vermont is the lead producer of maple syrup in the US. Producing about 2.5 million gallons of syrup annually. That’s enough to fill almost four Olympic swimming pools! Just imagine that for a second… and this is real maple syrup too, not the fake stuff you might of grown up with! If you haven’t had real maple syrup I totally recommend trying it. It’ll blow your leaves right off your maple tree if you know what I mean!
The first photographs of snowflakes were taken by Wilson Bentley of Jericho. It is a truly fascinating story. Stay tuned for an article!
Vermont is only one of four states to ban billboards. The other three include Maine, Hawaii, and Alaska. This ban truly adds to the beauty of the state and I wish more states would implement the ban.
