Texas

Welcome to Texas - known for the rodeo, cowboys, and the desert heat. Home to four major cities Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, and Houston. All four cities are located on the East side of the state.

Everything is bigger in Texas, including the drive across the state. It'll take about 12 hours of driving (without breaks) to get you across the state in one go.

Fun facts:

  • Texas has it’s very own power grid. The United States and Canada run off of about 6 different power grids. Most cover multiple regions but Texas has one all to themselves. This power grid was established during World War 2 to make sure all of the Texas factories producing supplies were self-sustained.
  • The first frozen margarita machine was invented in Dallas. Hot days = cold margaritas. Thank you Dallas.
  • The original slogan “Don’t Mess With Texas” was created for an anti-litter campaign.
