Missouri
Welcome to Missouri - known for the St. Louis Gateway Arch, Ozark Mountains, and Kansas City BBQ. And yes, as confusing as it is, Kansas City is located in the state of Missouri and not the state of Kansas.
While the land in Missouri is mainly flat prairie with rivers and streams, but there are plenty of sculptures and art work scattered throughout the state to keep your eyes interested.
Fun facts:
- Missouri is the fastest route to Uranus outside of the Milky Way. That’s right folks, Missouri has it’s own Uranus! Located in St. Robert, Missouri is the tourist attraction you will never forget. During your visit you can play mini golf, let them lock you up for money (escape room), see their side show and even get your fudge packed at Uranus Fudge Factory!
- Mark Twain was a midwestern boy from Missouri. The author’s most famous books include The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn.
- The world’s first ready made pancake mix was invented in Missouri. In 1889, the Pearl Milling Company combined flour, baking powder, corn flour and salt and sold it as the first commercially available pancake mix by the name Aunt Jemima’s Pancake Mix.
