Welcome to Colorado - known for elevation sickness, mountains, and every outdoor activity known to man.
Colorado's main city is Denver and it has a few smaller cities like Colorado Springs and Boulder. The state is also home to five national parks.
Fun facts:
Colorado is the only state in history to turn down the Olympics. In 1976, the winter Olympics were planned to be held in Denver. Voters, however, chose to vote against it due to the cost, pollution and population boom it would have had on the state. And you know what? Good for you Colorado.
The 13th step of the Denver state capital building is exactly one mile high above sea level. The stair is even marked so every visitor knows!
Pikes Peak Cog Railway is the highest railway train in the world! The runway runs on cog wheels and a special track with “teeth” that allow the train to climb up the mountain.
