Welcome to New York! New York City is the most famous portion of the state from Times Square to each of the five boroughs. There is always something to do in the city that never sleeps.

Outside the big city, New York has a lot of charm in their smaller towns & cities. Not to mention, thousands of miles of hiking and wilderness to explore!

Fun facts:

  • The Hudson River flows in two directions depending on the ocean tides. A high tide causes the river to flow north towards troy and a low tide causes the river to flow south towards the Atlantic Ocean.
  • If you visit the Empire State Building, you can see New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, and Massachusetts all at once from the 86th and 102nd floor!
  • You can follow follow follow the Yellow Brick Road in Chittenango. Frank Baum, the author of The Wizard of OZ was born and raised in Chittenango and this town embraces his story in such a fun way!
